ARTIST MARKS ANNIVERSARY OF BRAIN CANCER DIAGNOSIS BY RELEASING MULTIMEDIA PROJECT DOCUMENTING HER EXPERIENCES OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS

At 24 years old Siobhan Hebron did not expect the migraines she had been experiencing for a week in the summer of 2014 to be anything more than a fluke. Instead, an MRI revealed the actual cause-- a tumor, which was obstructing the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in her brain and causing the headaches.

This upcoming June will mark the five year anniversary since Hebron received that fateful call from her doctor and subsequent diagnosis of brain cancer. She plans to mark the occasion by releasing a collection of over eighty pages and thirty written works. Pieces which not only act to document her personal experience as a young adult woman living with brain cancer, but also explore the greater guise of illness/sickness from a critical disability perspective.

Please fill out the form below and a link will appear with access to the project!
